Ruffle Lace Flower Tutorial

I whipped this up in a few minutes while daughters had their morning snack today.

Are you thinking another flower?

This is another easy one, but it does take a sewing machine.

You will need:
Sewing machine
flexi-lace hem tape
matching or clear thread
felt
button
glue gun
ribbon {optional}

The flexi lace looks like this:

I got mine at JoAnns months ago for super cheap, like 25 cents, but I don't think it's more than a couple bucks regular price and you can always use a 40% off coupon. I've had this sitting around forever trying to figure out what to do with it!

It's just a few steps to make your own flower.

1. Set your tension to the highest
2. sew a straight line through the center or one edge. It will ruffle as you go. *video below
{I did the center, but think I will do the edge next so it ruffles differently}

When you are done, it will look a little crazy. Glue it on a piece of felt, working from the outside in, like I did on this flower here.

Add some a button, some ribbon leaves, attach it to a clip or pin back and your done!
Just for the heck of it, here's a video of just how easy it is to sew this,
let the machine do the ruffling for you.
*Ignore my hand at the beginning*

I'm looking forward to making these in several colors.
Can you picture a couple of these on the front of a onesie with some ruffles on the bum?
So cute!
If you make some yourself, I'd love to see it!
