Friday's Featured Shop

This is a bit late coming! Etsy is such a great community made up of so many talented artist. Each week I intend to feature a new etsy shop. This week I am so happy to feature Pinksniece. Her shop has been open a little more than a month, please take a look! Her mosaics are amazing!

Here is a bit more about the owner in her own words:

"My name is Charie Stephens and I'm from Columbia, Mississippi. I am a stay at home wife and mom of a 9 month baby girl, Amelia. She keeps me busy! I first started making mosaics from recycled plastic as a highschool student for my senior project. My mentor was the art teacher from Petal High School, Deanna Williamson who is also a fellow etsian (DeannaW). She helped develop the idea that I could cut up old CDs and shampoo bottles to create beautiful art. It was about 7 years ago when I made my first mosaic. It was just recently that my aunt, Jessie Williamson (jbguess), got me started in etsy. She encouraged me to start making my mosaics again."

*Just listed today is this bright mosaic trio:

Orange, Lemon and Lime for summer! This citrus trio would go great in that little space in the kitchen that needs a fresh burst of color. These three pieces are made with recycled plastic: The orange made from pill bottles, the lemon from a yellow plastic container, and the lime from a lemon juice bottle. I've given the actual slices a coat of glossy mod podge to give the final product a "juicy" appearance. These pieces are unframed on 5 x 7 inch canvas panels. $25.00 you get all three vibrant citrus mosaics!
